Jobs at Restoke
We have two current opportunities for an Inclusion Support Worker and an Assistant Dance Artist to join our Thursday after school workshops for children at Fenton Town Hall!
Inclusion Support Worker
Hours: 2.5 hours per week, term time only. Thursdays 4 - 6.30pm
Rate of pay: £65-80 per session, depending on experience
Contract: 7th January - 25th March 2027 (10 sessions. No session 18th February) with potential to renew termly, thereafter
About the role
We are looking for an Inclusion Support Worker to provide additional support within two of our children's classes:
Restoke Small Folk – creative dance for children aged 5–9
Kids Capoeira – Brazilian movement, martial art and music for children aged 7–13
Both classes include children with a range of additional support needs. We are looking for someone who can help make sure every child feels welcome, safe and able to participate.
You will be working alongside the two artists leading the session, helping children navigate moments when they are overwhelmed, need some extra attention or need to participate differently from the rest of the group.
This might include helping a child to join in, or taking some time out with them when they need it, supporting transitions between activities, helping with communication or sensory needs, or simply being a calm and reassuring presence. We want someone who can help us create an environment where different ways of participating are welcomed.
Assistant Dance Artist
Hours: 1.5 hours per week, term time only. Thursdays 4 - 5.30pm
Rate of pay: £39 per session
Contract: 7th January - 25th March 2027 (10 sessions. No session 18th February) with potential to renew termly, thereafter
About the role
Restoke is looking for an Assistant Dance Artist to support Restoke Small Folk, our creative dance class for children aged 5–9. Working alongside lead artist Abi Dyche, you’ll help deliver inclusive and creative dance sessions where children can explore movement, develop their own ideas and enjoy dancing together. We’re looking for a dance artist with experience of working with children, particularly children with additional support needs. You’ll be confident supporting children with different ways of communicating, participating and expressing themselves, and able to respond with warmth, patience and flexibility.
If you have any questions about either of these roles you can email our children and young people’s coordinator georgina@restoke.org.uk
If you are interested in the role but not sure you have all the relevant skills/experience, do get in touch for a chat. It is important for us to find the right person for each role and can offer training and support where needed.
