Our approach: Holding Lightly
Holding Lightly is a resource/toolkit which outlines our approach to co-creating performances with communities. Produced by artist-researcher Nicola Winstanley, Holding Lightly looks at the process, power-dynamics and guiding principles in our work.
We think that co-creation is a powerful approach to creating art, leading to authentic and rich environments for people to share stories and embark on creative adventures together. We want to share our learning so that other practitioners may benefit from our experience, and we will continue to learn, update and mould this resource to be live and useful in response to feedback.
Holding Lightly also serves to guide us as our work expands beyond making performance and remind us of the carefully crafted steps and principles which underpin our projects.
