The Voyagers (2015)

Set within the disused Victorian swimming pool of Tunstall Baths, real life stories are retold through Restoke's blend of dance, live music and animation. The Voyagers takes a journey through spirited tales of resilience, love, regret and Ricky the lion. Moments of happiness and heartache are performed by a diverse 40 strong cast aged 10-75.. The performance is guided by the voyage of the individual life, the joys to be treasured and the lessons to be learnt. Starting with the question "what would you say to your younger self?" interviews with people aged 50+ informed the creation of The Voyagers.

“I felt as though I had been transported into a collection of different places then I realised it was a place I knew, refocused through a collection of lenses.

Mesmerising, moving and uplifting. Unforgettable.”
