YOU ARE HERE

Performed in the Wedgwood Institue, a former college for science & the arts, You Are Here was an intmate promenade performance. Co-created by 15 people from 15 different countries who had moved, or been moved to Stoke-on-Trent. Supported by a team of professional artists, You Are Here took place in October 2016. PALACE

2013 -  Palace was assembled from stories of homelessness of people in Stoke-on-Trent and set against the imposing backdrop of Bethesda Chapel, a 200 year old partially restored methodist chapel. Performed by a cast of 34 people aged 5-60. Click the photo to watch the short film. Palace was also accompanied by schools outreach programme, you can see the video from this HERE

THE voyagers

The Voyagers started with a question "what would you say to your younger self?". Following interviews with people aged 50+ we created The Voyagers, performed by a cast of 42 performers aged 10-75 in an empty Victorian swimming pool, March 2015. I felt as though I had been transported into a collection of different places then I realised it was a place I knew, refocused through a collection of lenses. Mesmerising, moving and uplifting. Unforgettable
