RESTOKE  Core Team

Clare Reynolds, Co-artistic Director Clare trained at Trinity-Laban in Dance Theatre and also holds an MA in Community & Participatory Arts. As an independent dance artist Clare created, delivered & performed dance in a wide range of community settings and with people of all ages and experience levels. Clare co-founded Restoke in 2009. As well as choreographing & directing our shows Clare leads the participatory aspects of the work and travels around the UK sharing our learning.

Paul Rogerson, Co-artistic Director Paul has a background in music production, composition and community music delivery, working with institutions including Town Hall/Symphony Hall Birmingham and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Paul composes music for film, animation, theatre and dance as well as being inventor of interactive musical instrument Khoros.  Paul co-founded Restoke in 2009. As well as composing for an directing our shows Paul's expertise are in technical production & finances!

Sarah Nadin, Marketing Manager Sarah hails from a visual arts background, training as a graphic designer before developing a career in public art and creative consultation with Winstanley-Nadin, working with a range of communities and clients across the UK and abroad. Sarah is now marketing manager for Middleport Pottery alongside her work with Restoke. Sarah co-founded Restoke in 2009 and is responsible for marketing, branding, website, PR & attracting sponsorship.

Sarah Richardson, Projects Manager Sarah trained as a contemporary dancer at Trinity-Laban before shifting into theatre and joining the New Vic Theatre’s education team in 2005 as Education Theatre Practitioner. She has extensive experience of managing and delivering participatory projects.  Sarah also produces her own work as an independent theatre-maker, the focus of which is always to create opportunities that enable everyone to access the arts. Sarah joined the Restoke team in 2017, her roles include strategic management, fundraising & coordination.

Jamie Thrasivoulou - Spoken Word Artist Jamie Thrasivoulou is a working-class writer, poet, spoken word artist and educator. His work is raw, energetic and often highly politicised. He has performed feature slots all over the U.K appearing at nights such as Outspoken at the 100 Club in London.  His debut poetry collection: The Best Of A Bad Situation was published through Silhouette Press in 2017. His debut spoken word album and musical collaborations are available to listen to through iTunes and Spotify. He has appeared on BBC Introducing and Radio 5 Live.  Jamie is studying an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham. He works in education and helps to develop the awareness of poetry and the spoken word and is the writer-in-residence at HMP Foston Hall www.jthras.com

Informing this process, she has conducted creative consultation and evaluation for Staffordshire University, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust and several galleries and arts organisations with a special interest in identifying barriers to art engagement. Nicola’s process is to work with communities to identify problems and develop a creative response that empowers people to enact positive change. Having cut her teeth in her home town of Stoke-on-Trent, she has a particular interest in working class communities and the sociological effects of urban geography, town planning and cultural provision in post industrial cities. www.nicwinstanley.com

He is the Artistic Director of Being Frank as well as being responsible for the overall artistic vision of Boys Dancing.   David has a vast amount of teaching experience facilitating varying groups, of all age ranges and abilities in many different settings. His innovative dance work has taken him into theatres, nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools, youth centres, pupil referral units, hospitals, libraries, museums, town centres, beaches, car parks, national heritage sites and even prisons working with professional dancers and those that have absolutely no previous dance experience. www.beingfrank.co.uk

Anna Belyavin - Dance Artist & performer - Reclaim, Palace, The Voyagers, You Are Here. Anna is a freelance dance artist based in Shropshire, who graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a BA Hons Dance Theatre in 2010. Anna works as a performer, choreographer, teacher, facilitator and leader and works with children, young people and adults. As a performer, Anna has worked with a number of companies and choreographers, including Restoke, Shropshire Inclusive Dance, Infuse Dance, Cheshire Dance, Frank McDaniels Dance and Birmingham Opera Company. Anna works as a teacher and facilitator in educational and community settings, delivering projects, weekly sessions and curriculum themed work and also works on the Centre for Advanced Dance Training at DanceXchange, Birmingham - a dance training programme for aspiring dancers aged 11-18.
