RESTOKE  Core Team

 Clare Reynolds, Co-artistic Director  Clare trained at Trinity-Laban in Dance Theatre and also holds an MA in Community & Participatory Arts. As an independent dance artist Clare created, delivered & performed dance in a wide range of community settings and with people of all ages and experience levels.  Clare co-founded Restoke in 2009. As well as choreographing & directing our shows Clare leads the participatory aspects of the work and travels around the UK sharing our learning.

 Paul Rogerson, Co-artistic Director  Paul has a background in music production, composition and community music delivery, working with institutions including Town Hall/Symphony Hall Birmingham and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Paul composes music for film, animation, theatre and dance as well as being inventor of interactive musical instrument Khoros.   Paul co-founded Restoke in 2009. As well as composing for an directing our shows Paul's expertise are in technical production & finances!

 Sarah Nadin, Marketing Manager  Sarah hails from a visual arts background, training as a graphic designer before developing a career in public art and creative consultation with Winstanley-Nadin, working with a range of communities and clients across the UK and abroad. Sarah is now marketing manager for Middleport Pottery alongside her work with Restoke.  Sarah co-founded Restoke in 2009 and is responsible for marketing, branding, website, PR & attracting sponsorship.

Sarah joined the Restoke team in 2017, her roles include strategic management, fundraising & coordination.

 Jamie Thrasivoulou - Spoken Word Artist  Jamie Thrasivoulou is a working-class writer, poet, spoken word artist and educator. His work is raw, energetic and often highly politicised. He has performed feature slots all over the U.K appearing at nights such as Outspoken at the 100 Club in London.    Jamie joined the Man Up team in January 2018 and has been using creative writing and poetry to help people to express their experiences and ideas around the themes of Man Up - masculinity & mental health.  Frankie Hickman - Dancer  Frankie was brought up in Tamworth-Staffordshire where he began training in contemporary dance. He recently graduated from London Contemporary Dance school.  Since graduating Frankie has used his time to travel to America, Asia and parts of Europe. In between his travels Frankie has raised over £1000 for ‘Changes’ a local mental health charity based in Tamworth.  Mental health is a topic of great importance to Frankie and he joined the Man Up team in April as an assistant dance artist. Frankie will now be taking on one of the lead dance roles in Man Up and performing as well as supporting others on their creative journey.

  Anna Belyavin - Dance Artist   &   Youth Dance Lead.    Anna is a freelance dance artist based in Shropshire trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Anna works as a performer, choreographer, teacher, facilitator and leader with children, young people and adults. As a performer, Anna has worked with a number of companies and choreographers, including Restoke, Shropshire Inclusive Dance, Infuse Dance, Cheshire Dance, Frank McDaniels Dance and Birmingham Opera Company. Anna also works on the Centre for Advanced Dance Training at DanceXchange, Birmingham - a dance training programme for aspiring dancers aged 11-18. Mike Walsh - Musician

Mike graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2015 with a First Class degree in Music, following which he lectured for two years across their Contemporary Arts programmes.

For the last five years Mike has worked as a freelance musician, most recently composing and performing with his experimental trio Owte and working with local community arts group Art Brasil. 

Mike has worked with Restoke since 2013 performing, composing and accompanying workshops.

 Nicola Winstanley - Creative Evaluator  Nicola Winstanley is a freelance Artist with 8 years experience working in public art and community consultation. She is a writer, teacher, spoken word artist and community activist who channels her feelings about place, politics, identity and the everyday into passionate poems full of colour and rhythm.  Since graduating with a 1st class degree in English Literature & Psychology from Keele University her practice has been rooted in community. Gabriella has headlined poetry nights around the country, is regularly commissioned to write or organise poetry events and she was the local poet in residence for Voices Nationwide. Gabriella was short-listed to be the first poet  laureate of Stoke-on-Trent.  Gabriella participated in Restoke's performances before finding her voice as a spoken-word artist. Lead writer and poet for You Are Here, she has also led workshops, sourced and styled costumes and installations for us!
